Lego™ Learning
The Hardy Center offers children a chance to participate in a unique program called LEGO™ Learning. The program encourages imagination and artistic expression with the use of LEGO™ learning blocks.
Children are given project themes to govern the construction of a LEGO™ project to solve a particular societal problem.
During this process, children interview adults whose professional careers deal with their specific project theme to gain valuable input to help them complete their assigned project. Once the children have constructed their LEGO’s™ solutions, they go on to practice delivering visual & verbal presentations to adult audiences.
The LEGO’s™ Learning Program encourages kids to think “outside of the box” by using their imagination and artistic abilities, but most importantly, to be able to articulate the story behind the project.
