We understand the pressures families face—whether it’s juggling work, managing school needs, or finding a safe place for your child after the bell rings. That’s why parents, staff, tutors, and volunteers work together to provide a free, structured, and nurturing Afterschool Program. By combining our efforts, we give children the guidance, support, and tools they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

Children in grades K–8 benefit from:

Homework help & standardized test prep 

Small group tutoring from teachers & college mentors  

Digital learning tools aligned with the Ohio school curriculum  

Life skills and Social-emotional Learning skill development 

Nutritious meals to keep students energized

Time: Monday – Thursday, 4:00 – 6:00 PM

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Our programs go beyond the classroom, nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and real-world readiness through experiences like chess, gardening, performing arts, and more. Guided by a passionate team of educators and volunteers, we’re helping students not only succeed in school—but grow into leaders, problem-solvers, and community builders.

  • Every child deserves a nourishing meal. Our afterschool meal program provides hot, healthy meals, ensuring kids are fed, focused, and ready to thrive. 

  • The Hardy Center supports social-emotional learning by helping children build self-awareness, resilience, and healthy relationships through structured activities, mentorship, and a nurturing community environment.

  • At The Hardy Center, students develop life skills through a classroom structure centered on financial literacy and personal responsibility, giving students the tools to manage their learning independently and take ownership of their education.
